Are you passionate about childcare and seeking a rewarding summer opportunity? Jovie has an exciting opportunity for you to join a new family this summer! We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us for a summer of fun and earning.

Families are currently securing their summer nannies and sitters, so don't wait to secure your position. We're recruiting for full-time and part-time positions, including roles in individual family homes, backyard camps, event care, and corporate care programs.

This summer, you'll enjoy playing tag, making crafts, visiting the zoo, leading nature walks, and creating engaging activities for the children in your care.

About Jovie :

For many years, we have been Building Stronger Families in our communities and we welcome you to our summer team of sitters.

You can expect to gain confidence and experience in areas such as :

  • Meeting children, analyzing their needs, and assessing the requirements for the day’s success.
  • Communicating with the parent / guardian to understand the child(ren) and family needs.
  • Being creative with available activities (games, books, supplies, etc) and making the most of the children’s summer and yours, too!
  • Overseeing the safety and wellbeing of the children in your care.
  • Addressing summer brain drain and creating solutions to prevent learning loss.

About you :

  • You enjoy children, have experience in caring for children and choose to work with kiddos you’ve experienced the joy and want more!
  • You will be able to provide 3 references, 2 kid-centric; 1 character
  • You have experienced, or have provided, the attention a babysitter brings to a child and know even those few hours can make a difference
  • Your phone isn’t your life, and you can disconnect from it to connect with a child
  • You have a reliable vehicle, you’re CPR / First Aid Certified or willing to be and you are COVID-vaccinated

Opportunities are flexible around your summer family vacations, classes and other part-time commitments. A variety of shifts will be available, but will strive to meet your work needs over the summer.

Both full and part-time schedules are available. Typical hours are within 8am 6pm, but evening and weekend hours are possible, so let’s chat about your schedule.

A minimum of 20 hours per week will allow the most total hours and consistent paycheck.

  • In our interview we’ll get to know more about you and your experience and begin to think about the position or the family you might best be a match for.
  • You’re a fit? We’ll welcome you to the team with an offer.
  • As we work to schedule your orientation and first days of work, we will be verifying your references, getting your background screens completed and preparing your nanny bag of games, activities and more for your first dates of work.
  • We’ll continue to support you throughout your time with us from meet ups, bonus opportunities, trainings and more. We’ll be just a phone call or text away when you need us.
  • Once on our team, you will be considered for additional work, new positions or promotions that fit your growing skill set.
